Management Structures
JLOS Leadership Committee
This is the Committee comprised of all heads of institutions, who are ultimately accountable for the delivery of JLOS services in the country and is responsible for political leadership and guidance to the Sector. It is responsible for articulating the JLOS Vision and Sector development policy.
JLOS Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is the body responsible for policy formulation, coordination, fundraising, external accountability, and quality assurance of JLOS results to the people of Uganda.
JLOS Technical Committee:
The Technical Committee will comprise technical personnel from the JLOS institutions, headed by departmental heads.
Working Groups
Due to the breadth of the reform programme, working groups serve as extensions of the Technical Committee, providing in-depth consideration that would not be possible within the Technical Committee itself. Working Groups report to the Technical Committee for decisions related to resource allocation and management. The Technical Committee primarily operates through the following working groups:
- Access to Justice Civil is subdivided into two subcommittees.
- Civil (main)
- Land justice
- Access to Justice Criminal – with one sub-committee
- Children and Family Justice
- Human Rights and Accountability.
- Transitional Justice.
- Budget Working Group
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Working Group.
