Irish Fellowship Training Program (FTP) 2011

The objective of the Fellowship Training Programme (FTP) is to strengthen capacity of development partner organizations benefiting from Irish Aid support by providing higher education opportunities. In doing so, it is anticipated that the programme will contribute

to increased access by government Ministries and non-governmental organizations to specialist knowledge.

Fellowships are awarded annually to study in Ireland or within Uganda / the region in fields relevant to Irish Aid Uganda priority programme areas. Fellowships are targeted at mid-career professionals in development partner organizations who on completion of the programme are committed to returning home to resume work and put their acquired skills into practice for the benefit of the organization and the wider community. Partner organizations working in collaboration with the Irish Aid programme in-country include government ministries and those in the non-governmental sector including civil society groups.

Eligibility requirements as well as the following related documentation regarding the FTP is now available on the JLOS Secretariat Website at www.jlos.go.ug
