2,000 prisoners seek presidential pardon

The Uganda Prisons Service has listed 2,100 inmates for Presidential pardon. The constitution empowers the President to pardon prisoners on the presidential prerogative of mercy upon advice of the Committee of Clemency and the Attorney General.
